International Inspiration!

Currently Listening to: "Shosholoza" - Black Umfolozi

Whilst looking at my visitor stats earlier I noticed an huge increase in international readers for my blog. As I looked at all the different nations I thought "What is the national dish of New Zealand?!" This gave me the idea to once a week attempt a different national dish, but I need your help!

Please can everyone leave a comment (or send me an e-mail) saying:

1) What country you come from

2) What you consider to be your national dish.

I will then work my way through this list week by week.

Hope to hear from you all soon!

Hmm. I don't even know if New Zealand really even has a national dish, the only thing that springs to mind is a Pavlova with whipped cream and fruit on top (usually kiwifruit, funnily enough) :)

Thanks, a mate who's in NZ at the mo said Kiwi Pavlova, and possibly Meat Pies! My Mum went to NZ in March but all she talks about is Tip Top's "Hokey Pokie" Ice-Cream...!

Thanks again

Scotland

And there are lots of dishes to choose from, but one of my favourites is Cranachan.

You're from Liverpool! That's so cool! I'm amazed.

I'm from the United States of America. And it would be hard to pick a dish.
I guess...roasted turkey? We always have it on Thanksgiving, with stuffing and mashed potatoes and gravy.

I'm from the United States - how about a really good hamburger? Make sure to pair it up with some fries.
